English artist, Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones, received formal art training in London before beginning his music career. As his music career progressed, so did his art. He continued painting and drawing-his subjects ranging from musicians he knew, admired and played with, to family and friends. Wood produced his first prints in the 1980s-three woodcuts and a series of monotypes. Over the years his work has been widely exhibited. In 1996 he had a retrospective exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art, Sao Paulo, Brazil. He has had numerous one man exhibitions in North an south America, in the far East and throughout Europe.
